I'm a program and community manager at TU Delft's AI Initiative, where I oversee the development and coordination of interdisciplinary research themes on artificial intelligence and its societal implications. Additionally, I'm an editor at the Philosophy of the City Journal, a peer-reviewed platform for philosophical inquiry on urban issues. I received my PhD in ethics of technology, have degrees in architecture and environmental studies, and previously worked in community programming and urban policy at one of Canada's leading environmental NGOs. My overall mission is to bridge the gap between theory and practice, and to inspire and empower more sustainable and ethical technological innovation.
My research spans philosophy, (urban) design, technology development, and ethics education. I most often work on the topics of light pollution and cities at night, developing critical and constructive approaches to urban lighting policy and design. This includes the ongoing project Rewilding the Night.
